FNO Fall Semester is Here! Welcome!!

Assalamu Alaikum respected Parents and FNO Students:
Our heartiest welcome and thank you to all our returning and new students and parents for registering for the ICEV FNO Youth Halaqa Fall 2023!

Classes started on Friday, August 18th.

ALL NEW REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED NOW.

In this post, we have included some important information to help you understand our program and how to participate and get the most benefit from it. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

Timing: Our classes are on Fridays from 6:45 to 8:15 PM. All students are required to check in 10 minutes before the class starts (6:35 PM).

Calendar: The semester is from Aug 18 to Dec 8.  Please visit https://icevfno.com/calendar/ for more information about breaks and other activities.

Student Badges: On the first day, Aug. 18, we will provide name tags/badges to all students. When you arrive, please go to the designated Badge Distribution Table and pick up your student’s badge. The tables are arranged by groups, so if you have more than one child registered, you might have to visit multiple tables to collect their badges.  Arrive early to avoid lines and delays.

Each student badge has a custom QR code with student information. You will need to scan the badge at the main door to check in the student. There is no paper attendance entry for students.

Students will display the badges on their shirts or upper body during the class and take them home when the class ends.
Teachers will not collect them at the end of the class.

Every Friday, you will need to use the badge to check in your student at the entrance. You can take a picture of the badge on your phone to use at the scanner in case you misplace or lose the badge.

FNO will NOT BE responsible for the lost badges. A replacement badge will take 1 to 2 weeks to make, with a $5 fee. So please keep your badges safe.

Arrival: Please arrive by 6:35 PM, and scan the badge at the main door to mark the attendance and check-in. A non-checked-in student will be marked absent for that session, and three consecutive absences will result in their name being removed from the class and assigned to waiting list students.

Shoes: All students must put their shoes on the shoe rack. Any shoes left on the floor may be removed by the cleaning staff.

Dismissal: Classes end at 8:15 PM and students will be brought out of the main doors by volunteers. Please stand behind the rails while waiting for the students. Do not enter the masjid to pick up the students.

FNO Youth Halaqa program will not be available and responsible for youth before 6:30 pm and after 8:30 PM.

During the Session: Parents are not allowed in the Masjid during 6:45 to 8:15 PM except the Maghrib prayer time.

We have over 350 students and space is very limited, so your cooperation will help the teachers focus on the kids in their classrooms.

There is a very limited space in the lobby for sisters to wait or pray, but be aware that space can be used by the administration if needed at any time.

Brothers are requested to not wait or sit in the main prayer hall when classes are in session. If for some reason you are available and staying at the Masjid, we highly recommend that you fill out the safety patrol volunteer form and help us organize our outdoor patrol activities. The Safety Patrol Volunteer Application is available at the Admin desk.

Parents are allowed in the upper backside and main prayer halls during Maghrib congregation prayers only if it comes during the class session.

Main entrance doors will be closed to Men 10 minutes before Maghrib. Men are requested to use the side door to enter for Maghrib prayer.

Parking: For everyone’s safety we request you to enter the dirt parking lot from Alma School Road (the Masjid Drive Way from Alma School).  Once you enter the parking lot, please park the car in an orderly fashion such that you are not blocking the passageway or any other properly parked cars.

Exit from the south side of the parking lot on Erie Street. PLEASE DO NOT EXIT from the north side entrance towards Alma School Road.

We have some safety patrol volunteers helping with the traffic in the parking lot. Please obey their instructions as they are doing their job.

For your convenience, a parking map with directions is shown below. Please take a moment to understand the requested traffic flow direction.

Waiting list: If you have any students on the waiting list, we will inform you as soon as the spot opens. Please do not contact the administration in person to inquire about the waiting list status. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

If you need help: Our email address is icevfno@gmail.com. You can also text us at 480-442-4181 (Text only).
If you are contacting us for admission or payment-related inquiry, please include the full name of the students and their birth dates.

We hope to serve you in the best manner and wish you a fun and beneficial FNO session!

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for partnering with the FNO team!
Sincerely,

-FNO Admin
