Welcome to the FNO Spring 2024 Semester!

Dear Parents and Students:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah!

Our heartiest welcome and thank you to all our returning and new students and parents for registering for the ICEV FNO Youth Halaqa Spring 2024!

Class started on Friday, January 12, 2024, al-Ḥamdu lillāh.

A FEW IMPORTANT GUIDELINES TO PARENTS & STUDENTS FOR ATTENDING FNO:

  • Class Timing: The class time is 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm. All students are required to check in 10 minutes before the class starts (6:35 PM). Ishaa prayer ( when Iqama is at 8:00 pm) is part of the FNO.
  • Student ID Badge: Registered students will receive name badges on the first day for them to keep and are required to scan the badge at the main door to check in every time attending the program. Each student badge has a custom QR code with student information, which was emailed to the parent’s email as well. There is no paper attendance entry for students.
  • Arrival: Please scan the badge at the main door upon arrival to mark the attendance by 6:35 PM. A non-checked-in student will be marked absent for that session, and three consecutive absences will result in their name being removed from the class and assigned to waiting list students.
  • Shoes: All students must put their shoes on the designated shoe racks. Any shoes left on the floor will be put in a bin for them to find.
  • During the Session: Parents are not allowed in the Masjid from 6:45 to 8:15 PM. We have over 400 students and space is limited, your consideration and cooperation will be greatly appreciated and will help our staff members to focus on the students.
However, there is a very limited space in the lobby for sisters to pray, but be aware that space can be used by the administration if needed at any time. Brothers are requested not to wait or sit in the main prayer hall while classes are in session. If for some reason you are available and staying at the Masjid, we highly recommend you fill out the safety patrol volunteer form and help us organize our outdoor patrol activities. The Safety Patrol Volunteer Application is available at the Admin desk.
  • Parking Etiquette: For everyone’s safety you are requested to enter the dirt parking lot from Alma School Road (the Masjid Driveway from Alma School).  Once you enter the parking lot, please park the car in an orderly fashion such that you are not blocking the passageway or any other properly parked cars. Please, please do not DRIVE AGGRESSIVELY no matter how late you are in the parking lot. Exit from the south side of the parking lot on Erie Street. PLEASE DO NOT EXIT from the north side entrance towards Alma School Road. We have some safety patrol volunteers helping with the traffic in the parking lot. Please obey their instructions as they are doing their job. For your convenience, a parking map with directions is attached BELOW to this message. Please take a moment to understand the requested traffic flow direction.
  • Dismissal: Classes end at 8:15 PM (KK class dismissal is 8:25 pm) and students will be brought out to the COURTYARD by volunteers. Please stand behind the rails/belts while waiting for the students. Do not enter the masjid to pick up the students. The FNO Youth Halaqa program will not be available and responsible for youth before 6:30 pm and after 8:30 PM.
  • Absence Report: Please report any possible/unavoidable absence 1 week before each session at  https://icevfno.com/absence-reporting/.  Any 3 weeks of consecutive absences without notice/or without a valid reason will be grounds for student termination from the program.
  • Non-Registered Children: Please do not leave non-registered children of any age in the masjid/admin lobby at any time.
  • Parent & Student Handbook:  Please read through the Parent & Student Handbook for detailed information at https://icevfno.com/members/.
  • WhatsApp Info: Individual links will be sent to each group separately for parents to sign in to receive WhatsApp messages.
  • If you need help: our email address is icevfno@gmail.com. You can also text us at 480-442-4181 (Text only). If you are contacting us for admission or payment-related inquiries, please include the full name of the students and their birth dates.

We hope to serve you in the best manner possible, and wish you a fun and beneficial FNO semester!

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for partnering with the FNO team!

Thank you and Baraka Allahu FeeKum! WELCOME ABOARD!
